Microwave Caramels

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 tsp. vanilla
6 oz. sweetened condensed milk

1. Combine sugar, butter, and corn syrup in a glass casserole dish.
Microwave uncovered on high for 3 minutes.
2. Gradually blend in condensed milk.
3. Cook on high, uncovered for 5-6 minutes. Stir every 2 minutes.
4. Stir in vanilla. Pour into a buttered pan. Cool and cut into squares.
