Basic Biscuits


1/3 C. Shortening
1 3/4 C. Flour
2 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
3\4 tsp salt
3\4 C. Milk

1. Heat oven to 450∞.
2. Sift dry ingredients into a mixing bowl.
3. Cut solid shortening into the flour mixture, add milk. Form a ball and place it on a lightly floured board.
4. Knead lightly (10-12 times).
5. Roll out the dough. Cut out with a biscuit cutter.
6. Place on UNGREASED baking sheet.
7. Bake about 10-12 minutes.
